This is a poem I wrote last thanksgiving (lil over a year ago) when a friend got me thinking about snow. I know it's not anything we'd really ever see in Greenville, but I'm trying to imagine what it'd be like.
Kinda wordy in some areas, but I hope y'all enjoy it. I know I'm behind on posting things on here...

I glanced out of my window,
And marv'ling at the sight,
I saw a whiteland glist'ning
And shimm'ring in the light.
I whisked my closet open
To gather for myself
My scarf and woven mittens-
Forgotten on the shelf.
The winter boots which had been
Not worn in near a year,
Rushed with me out the front door;
The Solstace phase was here.
I stood there on the front porch,
Mouth gaping in amaze;
Then stepped on fallen snowflakes,
To greet the winter days.
