Ahh...March...

"I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm,/ I'm as jumpy as a puppet on a string./ I'd say that I have spring fever,/ But it isn't even spring..."

What quote could better describe how life is right now??? Life is good, sun is shining, Greenville is coming out of the drought finally... for all you ignorant people yes our city has been in a drought for awhile. There has been just as unusual air of happiness especially around our household... I think having to do with spring. Ah well...

It seems spring is coming on faster than I expected this year. Seemingly yesterday was the snow day spent at home, the ski trip, opening services, etc.; and BOOM global warming takes over and now the weather has reached a sunny high of the 60s and 70s (Democrats, I hope you're happy). March so far has been the most interesting in forever... not to mention my first date several weeks ago, oral reports, kool-aid... I mean that and even more unexpected things.

The seating audition results in orchestra presented today created a huge upset. First of all, to my pleasant surprise my playing test placed me in 3rd stand outside Sorry I got a little off on the sequencing... I can assure you this did not create a huge upset lol- what did was the results in the other sections. In the basses, the 3rd chair (sophmore) took first pushing 1st and 2nd back to 2nd and 3rd; in the cellos a 2nd chair sophmore replaced the 1st chair senior; and around myself in my own section 7th chair replaced 2nd. After my director announcing the results everybody was dumbfounded... she also mentioned challenges which are going to be held the week after Bible Conference-- as soon as this was mentioned many of the same instrument kinds were found staring at each other in that "I'm going to get you" way, including my new stand partener who was eying my spot. *Gulp*... all I can say is I'm going to practice hard over the break... not gonna lose my chair. O.O

Speaking of the break, it's Bible Conference next week. Thinking of BC recalls to my mind the very first service on Monday my freshman year. I was going to meet my best friend at her house and walk over to the service (she lives on campus). I arrived at her house at 10, because supposedly the service started at 10:30... boy was I wrong. I arrived to find the house empty, and a sticky note to the door saying that Leah had left already due to the service starting at *10*... I just about died right there. I ran over the the FMA almost sweating in my clothes... and walked in 5 minutes late. To my relief I didn't get in trouble, though I have no idea how... I think the usher thought I was a visitor or something. O_o

I'm just going to the spend Sunday night outside the FMA this year.

This year in Bible conference our choir is also singing the premier as it is of "Lord Jesus, Think on Me" on Thursday morning. We have a total of one, yes one day to finish memorization and practice... which would be tomorrow... plus the mock dress rehearsal early Thursday morning. I'm a little worried- scratch that- I'M REALLY WORRIED, but hopefully everybody will realize that they need to do their best not just because we're going to be standing in front of 7,000 plus people, ::oh my::, but also because we're striving to glorify God, and doing our best for Him, and not the 7,000 plus people.

All this said, next week should be fun...

Ahh March.

pieces.
