This semester has been not only the fastest-paced segment of my entire high school career, but also the most profitable. The first significant event of the year was the WILDS trip at the beginning of October.

best friends =)
The WILDS trip was so good for everyone in our class. We all were drawn closer through fellowship in Christ, and I don't think anything else would have replaced what we did that week. God taught us all so many things. I personally made several decisions along the lines of my devotional life. I did have them on a regular basis, but the problem lay in not having as much of an earnest desire. Digging in the Word is so vital to a Christian having a good relationship with the Father, and I had not been doing that as much. If you will, "going through the motions" was more important before. Thank God that He showed me the need to change. =D
Next, I started taking Educational Psychology (Ps201) in the middle of October. My schedule is now so packed it's not even funny, but I've learned so much on prioritizing. See, the lessons and homework and all are done in the evenings in my own timing once I finish working on my normal schoolwork. Balancing Physics, Ed Psych, violin and piano lessons/practicing, and a love life isn't easy, but definitely possible with God's help!
Coming up here is a picture of our chorale at the Biltmore. This was perhaps one of the most purely fun experiences that I had this semester. We travelled up during school on a Thursday afternoon (about 2:30pm), arrived and checked in, sang four 30-minute concerts with 30 minute breaks in between. We felt so privileged, and really we were... how many high school groups get to sing Christmas music at the largest, most beautiful home in America? God really blessed us. =)

I'd like to share my theme verse for the year. I found it while I was up at the WILDS... I was in a group of friends that were making leather keychains for our freshman buddies. The more that I read the verse that I gave her, the more God impacted my life with it and showed me areas that I was trying to take care of on my own. The verse was Psalm 73:26: "My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever." This applied especially to the area of not being "bogged down by spiritual failure" (based on another message that was preached that week at the WILDS).
Finally, this is Thanksgiving day, and I have so many things that have happened just recently to praise my Lord for. Daily He's shown His grace to me. Last night at our special Wednesday Scripture, Song, and Say-so service, God impressed me especially with this verse: "All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee" (Psalm 145:10). Not only today, but every day we should be thinking about all that He has done and will continue to do for us. =)
Well, 'tis a short summary, not quite sufficient to catalog life in its entirety. Nevertheless, I must stop before I write 5 more paragraphs! I'll update more hopefully soon.
pieces, and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
